HORROR CON 2015 IS COMING TO YORKSHIRE
What a great time to be a horror fan with more and more Horror conventions showing up. Here in the U.K. we are a bit sparse on such things unlike our American friends. But this year that all changes hoards of horror fans are expected to descend on Yorkshire when the first ever HorrorCon is unleashed
at Magna this July. A must-attend event for UK fright fans, this inaugural spectacle promises scares and delights galore.
“I was looking for a horror convention to attend in the UK, and I couldn’t find anything like this – only horror film festivals – so Gill and I decided to start our own!
“So it’s a first – a big American-style horror convention right here in Yorkshire. When you’re a real horror enthusiast, horror isn’t just for Halloween, and we’ve got something for every fan of the genre – we’ve been getting enquiries from excited people from all over the country.”
Gill added: “It’s going to be huge, there’s so much going on. We’ve got a big marketplace with all kinds of weird and wonderful stalls, and there’ll be lots of scare costumes and cosplay on show – we encourage all of our visitors to join in! We’re really excited and we’re hoping to make it an annual event.”
Other guests include Hammer Horror stars Caroline Munro and Martine Beswick, with comedy lectures from the Zombie Institute for Theoretical Studies, paranormal investigations with Project Reveal and a scare attraction from Evilution Events.
Ticket prices start at £15 for a day ticket. For more details, see http://horrorconventions.co.uk
