Film Review: CONFESSIONS OF A HOMICIDAL PROSTITUTE (2017)

CONFESSIONS OF A HOMICIDAL PROSTITUTE *** USA 2017 Dir: Emir Skalonja 71 mins

Appropriately opening with a lyric from Cradle Of Filth's song Lilith Immaculate, CONFESSIONS OF A HOMICIDAL PROSTITUTE soon introduces us to Lilith (Kay Baun), the buxom prostitute that will give you more than you paid for. After many years of bringing pleasure to those who need it Lilith finally snaps after a severe beating by her pimp. Donning a Leatherface-esque mask she takes her victims to her basement, where she kills them and we get to listen to the sounds of black metal from Paragon Belial and death metal from Luciferian Insectus.
Lilith also goes as far as performing fellatio on a victims intestines after suffocating him, now that's going well beyond the call of duty! We are told by Lilith of her crimes to a man that is believed to be a psychiatrist who may also have his own agenda. This film was written, directed and edited by Emir Skalonja who has a few horror films to his credit already. Special effects are done by Sean Patrick Saramak who has shown growth in his effects style since his work on the zombie film THE PLAGUE (2016) also directed by Emir Skalonja. Being that this is an underground film you would expect the footage to be of questionable quality, but it looks fantastic and shows that on a small budget you can give a film a nice finish. Of course the acting isn't up there with the likes of Julia Roberts but everyone performs well enough. Keep an eye on Emir Skalonja's work as he maybe a name in horror to follow in the future.
