Film Review: SHADOW (2020) (Short Film)

SHADOW ***** USA 2020 Dir: Benjamin Howdeshell. 4 mins

Wow! What can I say, apart from absolutely genius!

This short, featuring Valeska Miller (Room For Rent, Empires Of The Deep) certainly makes you want to switch on every light in your house, and never want to switch them off again!

A mum is woken up by a strange noise coming from her hallway. She immediately discovers her son is no longer in the bed with her, but acting creepy outside her door. She begins to follow him throughout the house in the dark (why do these people never have electricity!)

Their house is also one of the creepiest houses I’ve ever seen before in my life. It’s also obvious that the mother and child are not alone, and a dark shadow is following close behind them. The mother follows her kid all the way down into a creepy basement..DO NOT GO DOWN INTO THAT BASEMENT!..look .. why would you buy a house with a creepy basement! Don’t you people ever watch horror movies.

If you like scary films, with creepy noises, and monsters that hide in the dark, then this is definitely the film for you! Oh, and I recommend you watch it loud, so you can really appreciate the hard work that’s gone into making this a truly terrifying movie to watch.
